How Verselodge handles your data

Verselodge ("the app," "we," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and what choices you have. It applies to the Verselodge Android app published on Google Play under the package com.dailymotivationapp.app.

Summary

Verselodge works fully offline. We do not require an account, we do not operate a backend server that stores your data, and we do not collect personal information about you. The only third party that may receive data is Google AdMob, which serves the banner ads that fund the free version of the app. Details below.

1. Data stored on your device

The following is stored on your phone only, using the system preference store. It never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us:

• Your favorite quotes
• Your theme preference (light, dark, or system)
• Your notification times and read-aloud voice settings
• A short rolling history of recently-shown quotes, used to avoid repeats
• Your onboarding completion flag

Uninstalling the app removes all of this immediately.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of Verselodge displays banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob is operated by Google LLC and is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. AdMob may collect or process:

• Your Google Advertising ID (a resettable identifier you control in your phone's system settings)
• Approximate location derived from your IP address (not GPS)
• General device information used to deliver and measure ads

You can limit ad personalization at any time by opening your phone's Settings → Google → Ads, and choosing "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of ads personalization."

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Verselodge presents a Google-certified consent form on first launch (via the User Messaging Platform SDK) where you can accept or reject personalized advertising. You can change this choice later from the in-app Settings screen.

3. Notifications

When you enable daily notifications, your phone's system scheduler stores the times and quote text locally so it can show notifications even when the app is closed. This information is not sent to us or any third party.

4. Permissions Verselodge requests

• Notifications — to deliver your daily quote reminders. Optional; you may decline or revoke this at any time.
• Internet — required by Google AdMob to fetch ad creatives.
• Set wallpaper — only used when you tap the "Set as wallpaper" share action. We do not access your existing wallpaper.
• Storage / media access — only used when you choose to save a quote image to your gallery via the share menu.

5. Children

Verselodge is rated for ages 13 and up and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app and personal information has somehow been collected, please contact us so we can investigate.

6. Your choices

• Disable notifications at any time from the in-app Settings screen or your phone's app settings.
• Reset your advertising ID in your phone's system settings.
• For EEA/UK/Swiss users: change your ad-consent choices from the Settings screen at any time.
• Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.

7. Your rights under GDPR and CCPA

Because Verselodge does not collect or store personal information on a server, there is no user-level data record we can produce, modify, or delete on your behalf. All data lives on your device under your control. For data that AdMob may process, please refer to Google's privacy policy for your rights as a data subject under GDPR, your rights under CCPA as a California resident, and the relevant data controller contact details.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be available at this page and reflected in future app updates. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision.
